Diagnostics
To provide solutions, we need to know the problems.
If the problem is simple, our vet, Dr. Olafson, can often say, “I’ve seen this before.” She picks the right test to confirm. She provides the treatment that works.
If the problem is not so simple, your pet’s solution derives from advanced diagnostics.
Running tests, Dr. Olafson provides treatments determined from the accurate and timely facts about your pet’s health.
X-rays for example help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.
We also have an on-site laboratory, which gives quick results on tests such as blood work, parasite diagnosis, cytology, cultures and urine analysis.
Fast results from these lab tests help us achieve your pet’s diagnosis and treatment plan within the most immediate timeframe.
For more specialized blood work, we work with an off-site laboratory that provides results in 24 hours.
Preventative Care
Preventative care provides the best peace of mind. It helps avoid problems from ever starting.
In our preventative care, we also commit to your needs as pet parent. We understand your want of education and information about the care we provide.
Our approach is to work with you to stay on top of your pet’s health, ensuring they enjoy and long and happy life.
Preventative care visits often include services such as:
– Annual comprehensive Exam
– Internal Parasite Testing
– Vaccination
– Spay and Neuter
– Heartworm and Flea Control
– Specialized Blood Tests for All Life Stages
Dentistry
Sometimes a pet seems unhappy and doesn’t eat. As pet parent, you wonder what’s wrong.
You come in for a visit, and we inform you we can get your pet back up to full cheer with dental work.
Dentistry provides an example of how different parts of the animal body effect each other. Conditions like gum or periodontal disease can lead to liver, heart and kidney problems.
When it comes to teeth, you can think of you and your pet as having common needs. In our hospital, we use dental equipment and processes similar to those in your own dentist’s office.
To keep your pet’s teeth healthy, we perform a thorough cleaning above and below the gum line.
When the best solution is to remove a tooth, Dr. Olafson possess the equipment and training for surgical extractions.
We are here to help you keep your pet healthy, happy and enjoying life. Providing the full range of dental work is an important part of that commitment.
Surgery
Pet parents often feel some anxiety when their pet needs surgery.
We understand, and we emphasize three points of compassionate care.
For one, not all pets are ready for surgery. Before we recommend a procedure, we perform a screening for proper organ function. With this test, we confirm your pet brings no conditions to the surgery that might jeopardize its safety.
Once in surgery, the vet and technician each fulfill critical responsibilities. The vet performs the procedure with the needed processes and experience. The tech gives the required assistance and performs the important task of administering and monitoring anesthesia.
Afterwards, during recovery, your pet needs post surgical care. Our team attends to your pet with abundant experience and compassion.
You can feel very assured by the treatment your pet receives from Dr. Olafson and staff at all three stages of surgical care.
